I did this: 1. I had Witcher 3 on HDD and played via steam. I decided to move the game to SSD to make loading faster. I tried this: 1. I deleted files from SSD had some small folders left 2. Started installation in Steam on SSD disk 3. Then I resumed the process.


Steam started to search for existing files in game folder. I didn't know about this method. Anyway, once I deleted game in Steam, it's too late, right? I can copy them to target drive SSD. I tried doing that when paused the process of downloading files I had to clean Download folder to have space. I did the "verify files" check and Steam said that all files have been checked successfully, BUT it won't start the game.


It continued downloading. You copy the game folder to your library on C drive or whichever steam library you want your game to be and then open steam and click install game in this case witcher 3if you copied the folder correctly it should then say something like "discovering existing files", you have to wait for a moment for all files to be validated and then you are done.
