For the price I would have liked more "teaching" information not just practicing to the test. As someone who hasn't studied much for the MLT exam, I've found this book useful so far. Any new knowledge is good knowledge. The little I have studied all came from digital pdf books, so it's nice to have something I can physically flip through Overall recommend. This is only used as guide on how questions are going to be presented in the actual exam. A set of questions are given per section then by the end of each section, answers and brief explanation is given. If you're looking to cram for the exam I rented this book a week before I took the BOC, read a chapter each day and passed the exam no problem. The format and wording of the questions is similar to the actual exam, so that was nice.
If you're looking to cram for the exam and are good at memorization then this book will do the trick. Good afternoon I'm studying the Chem section of this book for the MLS can I get some good advice is it worth my time, the only thing that I have that I can benefit from is I have over 10 years experience in the lab as a phlebotomist and histologist and very little on the job training as a MT, so please can I get some insight about the exam, my plan is to pass it on the first try.
