How to export eBay Buyer Purchase History to MS Ex - The eBay Community

Nov 07,  · Open the Music app or iTunes. From the menu bar at the top of the screen, choose Account, then click View My Account. On the Account Information page, scroll down to Purchase History. Next to Most Recent Purchase, click See All. I need to know my total ebay purchasing costs by year, for the past 3 years, with each transaction listed, item purchased and amount paid including shipping charges. Ideally this would be a file I could export to Excel. Is there a way to do this in eBay? The Purchase History page has changed, and now limits showing items a page. I need to download an entire year's purchase history and selecting and printing to PDF for 25+ pages is ridiculous. Suggestions?

Share best practices, tips, and insights. Meet other eBay community members who share your passions. Why does eBay create Tools that enable Sellers to export Sales data into spreadsheets, but eBay does not allow Buyers to export thir personal Purchase History?

Since eBay apparently has not responded to my erarlier question, I ask this again to make app to download ebay purchase history preparation easier for me and all other eBay buyers. As an eBay Buyer, I would like to access and export full text listings no pics or formatting of selected current or past eBay auctions and open the data file in pre-formatted MS Excel spreadsheet templates.

How can I easily export this eBay auction info into Microsoft Excel column fields without wasting time re-entering piurchase history data or manually changing each field of data for each record? I want to keep an updated Excel file for my personal reference, which lists all info relating to eBay auctions I select that are currently running or where I have completed past purchases.

Some eBay Sellers charge this tax, others do not, and Ohio now audits eBay itself to be sure Ohio citizens app to download ebay purchase history the correct tax anounts. I would like a current export text data file from eBay made available whenever I login and choose to open the text data file in MS Excel. When selected, the exported eBay data should be easily opened by Microsoft Excel into multiple field columns without any export text or field reformatting required.

SinceeBay Tech Support enabled an expanded data sharing ability for eBay Sellers to create and upload multiple auction listings and check multiple auctions status through custom MS Excel spreadsheet templates and eBay's "File Exchange System".

Is there any other way for app to download ebay purchase history to easily export eBay current auction or past auction purchases into MS Excel without time-consuming reformatting the data? It sure sounds as if you need to hire an accountant.

There are limits to what ebay can do for it's sellers and they cannot be your full-time accountant. Zylor said: "It sure sounds as if you need to hire an accountant. If Zylor wants to hire an expensive Accountant to complete data entry into a Spreadsheet, that is up to Zylor As mentioned in the original post, eBay makes Seller Tools available to complete this Seller data export possible.

Why does eBay not make these same data export tools available to Buyers like me for their purchase data history? My question is NOT about Taxes as Zylor imples, my concerns are how can I export eBay purchase history data into an Excel Spreadsheet without my having to retype or reformat the purchase history data.

Zylor's reply seems to cloud the question by saying "hire an Accountant" or someone else to export or retype the data because Zylor doesn't know how. There's a difference between restricting access to data and making it convenient to access.

I'm not a spokesperson for eBay, but they probably don't address the issue because there's no demand for that ability. I've seen plenty of queries about sales information, but yours is the only thread I've ever seen that was concerned with tabulating purchase information. Why does eBay choose to treat Sellers differently than Buyers by allowing Sellers the ability to export and download their Sales data into their private spreadsheets, but eBay denies this ability to Buyers?

If you do all your eBay transactions using PayPal, you can easily export that history to Excel or an accounting program and easily sort and subtotal how ever you want. FMTM commented: "If you do all your eBay transactions using PayPal, you can easily export that history to Excel or an accounting program and easily sort and subtotal how ever you want. I agree Paypal payment info can be imported into Excel, but I wish eBay transactions and payments through Paypal were as easy as you make them sound There are several concerns about your suggestions:.

Not all eBay Sellers accept Paypal as payment so a Paypal account transaction list may not show all eBay transactions. Paypal Account History only lists payments by date, Seller email address that may differ from eBay contact info, and total amount paid by Paypal.

Not all eBay transactions paid by Paypal may appear as eBay purchases However, Sellers often make the mistake of creating a new invoice instead of modifying the existing eBay invoice. This has happened to me as a Buyer several times in the past 2 months Paypal Account Payment History that is imported into an Excel Spreadsheet has app to download ebay purchase history be totally reformatted within the spreadsheet for each transaction record.

This is cumbersome and can take additional personal time depending upon the amount of transactions. The bottom line is that eBay once had a linked Buyer Purchases export capability to Spreadsheets with a standardized data format years ago, but discontinued it for some unknown reason.

As mentioned earlier, I suspect eBay does not allow the easy export of Buyer Purchase info because this may make it easier for State and Local Governments to force eBay to collect taxes on purchases made through eBay.

I suppose not as easy, but I only do it once at the end of the year. However, most all of what you need is there as noted in red. Sellers shouldn't be doing this. Create a template or use a database app instead of a spreadsheet. Again, I do it only once a year so a few extra minutes of manually sorting and subtotaling is not a problem for me.

You might also find it better to export to Quick Books, rather than Excel, app to download ebay purchase history, which I think is what most accountants do. I find this easier too, but used Quicken, app to download ebay purchase history, which now is no longer properly supported.

Don't think there is a perfect solution, and I wouldn't hold my breath for eBay doing anything more. However, this possible method would require a data link with unknown data fields or data access to be established between eBay and the Excel Spread sheet Afraid there is rarely ever a good reason why eBay does anything, app to download ebay purchase history.

Often they just get rid of things rather than trying to maintain and update them if they deem them not needed. While I do the PayPal data extraction manually in Excel, it is just select the field to sort on, and then the field to subtotal. Then just repeat for each total you need. Only takes me a half hour to sort and total entries for total sales, total refunds, total shipping, total sales tax, total eBay fees, total purchased, etc.

You of course want something more detailed per item, app to download ebay purchase history. Rather than export to Excel, the CSV export from PayPal has all the data you specified you need, except for items bought on eBay, but not identified as such, because of a direct PayPal payment.

Except for that, everything you want could be automatically extracted using almost any database program. However, you need to know how to set that up, but once done, one click and you have everything you need. I know, easier said than done. I'll have to look more at what eBay has available. Did you look at the monthly reports eBay can generate?

Although those may be only for sellers, with no buyer information you need. Appears this nice feature went away quite a few years ago, and a lot of others miss it too. Some are looking at possible solutions, but none seem easy or ideal, and eBay's format isn't helping either to even just app to download ebay purchase history it app to download ebay purchase history the web page.
